What do I need?
So often I get busy running and doing that I forget to ask myself what I need. There are long to-do lists, and projects, and work, and it’s easy to get caught up in crossing things off my list that my self-care is postponed or forgotten.
It’s important for my well-being that I slow down and take a minute to really ask myself what I need. What do I need today? Did I not sleep well and need a quick nap? Am I feeling stressed and need to take some time to do some breathing exercises? Is it a beautiful day and I need to take a break from the busy-ness and work and take a short walk and let myself enjoy the sun, breeze and fresh air? Are my shoulders and back stiff from sitting and I need to do a little yoga or stretching to work out the kinks?
